Half-board must be booked in advance?

If you intend to have dinner on your arrival day let us know ahead of time with a quick email or phone call.  Let us know about special diets, we have a set menu but we will consider special needs.

How much is dinner and what is included?

A.

The dinner price is EUR 35,00 per person, per day and includes; a consistent antipasto of, at least, 6 different typical traditional dishes (vegetables, cheeses, fish or meat, depends on what season offers), a first dish of pasta sauced also with typical products of Cilento in different traditional ways, home-made dessert and coffee (or cappuccino/thè).

All of the wines we serve come from the Cilento region and most come from a winery across the valley.  They have been selected and tasted by us to complement your dinner.  Prices range from 10,00 EUR to 60,00 EUR.

Where is dinner served?

A.

Dinner is generally served in our small dining room or weather permitting, on the outside terrace.  Fortunately, the weather permits it for much of the time.

What time is dinner?

A.

Considering the habits of our guests we have set the time for the dinner at 19:00 (7:00PM).

What is the weather like at different times of the year?

A.

As a general guideline, the weather in Southern Italy is warm almost all year round, but most pleasant from March to October.  The hot season is in July and August, when high temperatures are generally between 30-35 Celsius or   85-90 F.  The winter season (December, January and February) is quite mild but rainy.  Low temperatures remain above freezing and no snow.  During the winter it doesn’t rain every day or all day long.  The high temperatures during the winter are generally 10-20 degrees Celsius or 50-60 degrees F.

Is transportation available from and to the Napoli airport?

A.

Yes, there is transportation from the Napoli-Capodichino Airport for a fee. The price depends on the number of people and ranges from a minimum of 120,00 EUR to a maximum of 240,00 EUR, let us know as prior arrangements must be made.

How close is the hotel from the city center, restaurants, supermarkets etc?

A.

We are about 1.5 km (1 mile) away from the city center, the port, restaurants, bars and supermarkets.  It will take you approximately 2 minutes by car or 15 minutes walking, just remember that we are up on a hill so the walk will be pretty vivacious.

What television channels are available in the hotel?

A.

For the past year or so cable television is only available through Digital Terrestrial Television.   We have plenty of Italian channels, but only one english and one french channel.

How quick will i get an answer to my inquiry?

A.

Getting back to you in a timely manner is important to us.  We check our e-mails often during the day and we answer e-mails as quickly as possible.  We do everything ourselves so please be patient with us.

Do you allow smoking in the rooms?

A.

All the rooms are rigorously non smoking.  But smoking is allowed on the terraces and in all outside areas of the house.

How do we check in/out?

A.

Check-in is usually after 14:00 and before 21:00 but if you let us know that you are arriving early you are more then welcome to wait in our dinning rooms or on the terrace and have a coffee until we prepare the room for you! Check-out is usually at 11:00 at the latest, but if your plane leaves very late you can wait on the terrace or you can go for a walk and leave your luggage here!

When and what is for breakfast?

A.

Breakfast is served between 7:30 and 11:30,  if you’re an early bird or a sleepyhead we think this pleases almost everybody.  If your leaving a bit earlier, say 7:00, Oreste can serve you at least coffee and some bread.

We think you know that in Italy the usual breakfasts is “cornetto e cappuccino” (croissant and cappuccino), but don’t worry we won’t pretend that it’s for everyone.  We serve bread, toast, butter, yogurt, home-made marmalade and cakes, tomatoes, cheese, salami, capicollo (local salami), speck (ham) and even eggs on request.  What you see in the pictures is just a part of it.

What if we arrive by car?

A.

If you arrive by car we will provide the proper information to you, a map and the GPS coordinates so you will find us easily.  Keep our phone number handy and ring us if you have any problems, we will assist you or come and show you the way.  We  have plenty of free private parking spaces for all our guests.  Arriving by car affords you the best opportunity to visit and explore Cilento National Park, shop locally, and explore a very wide variety of natural points of interest.

What if we arrive by train?

A.

There are very good connection from Naples (journey time 1 hour 30 minutes, trains approximately every hour) or Rome (journey time 3 hours, trains approximately every hour).

If you came by train we have a free transfer service to and from the railway station in Agropoli. Let us know about your arrival date and time and we will be waiting to transport you to the hotel.  We also provide transportation to and from Agropoli for shopping, or to the train station where you can take the train to visit a few of the tourist points of interest.  Of course, you have more choices and more autonomy by car, but the train or bus tours have their advantages.  In summer there is a ferry from the Port of Agropoli to Amalfi, Capri, Positano or explore the Cilento coast, a wonderful way to spend a day.

How can I pay?

We usually ask for credit card guarantee at the time of booking, but nothing will be charged to your card until you check-out.  We accept Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express, Diner’s Club or cash.

What is your pet policy?

A.

We do not except any type of pets.  Unfortunately, we do not have enough rooms to dedicate any of them to people traveling with pets.

Wireless connection is available in every point of the structure and there is also a computer at your disposal, all free of charge.
